ExxonMobil Denies Climate Change Publicly While Planning Their Operations Around It Privately

For decades, ExxonMobil funded climate denial. During those same decades, they were leading the industry in planning for climate change.

Fucking hypocrites!

Their lies may well cause human extinction. And, they’re still lying.

The executives at ExxonMobil are easily among the worst human beings on the planet and are a big part of the reason I’m a misanthrope.

Can we put them toes first into a meat grinder … and turn the crank very very slowly?

  1. Human extinction is an inevitable, so don’t burn neurons mourning it
In Canada Exxonmobil is known as Imperious Ah So! And they have their current Prime Minister about to lose the Federal Election to Pierre Trudeau’s Brat who will legalize Marijuana so that you can ease the extinction process less painfully!
    Next perceived problem please!

    • The question is how soon we’ll go extinct. I was just watching the show “The Newsroom”. They had a character from the EPA who said on the TV show, not in real life, that a child has already been born who will die of the catastrophic effects of global warming.

That show is semi-fact, semi-fiction. It’s often hard to tell which as many episodes deal with actual news. But, I agree with that character.

  2. ECA says:

    Its funny,
that back in the 70’s we had a better word for it.
Pollution. In many of its forms was the biggest problem.
For all of this, the Corps moved many manufacturing forms OUTSIDE the USA.. so that they wouldnt have to DEAL with CLEANING UP the messes they make.
    (look up SUPERFUND SITES)
Japan and the ROC, have QUIT manufacturing..for the SAME reasons.

What is funny in all of this, is the Corps, COULD change a few things, and have LESS pollution.
And in SOME things they do this…but plastic cant do the SAME as wood and metals.
Many wood products could use ALTERNATIVES..bamboo and Hemp based materials would work as well. Grow very fast and replenish quickly..(you dont need to Wait 10+ years for trees to grow back)
They could replace many plastics with this also..

90% of the problems in the USA, is the COST of materials..
Everyone blames how CHEAP wages are in other countries…Its HOW CHEAP they can make the materials, and not worry about the pollution.

Then is the idea, that the Corps, sent representatives to other countries to investigate and Create Small corps in other countries.. They created these companies in the beginning.

    • “(look up SUPERFUND SITES)”

I’m living in New Jersey now, albeit just across the river from Manhattan. I don’t need to “look up” superfund sites. This whole state is one.

“What is funny in all of this, is the Corps, COULD change a few things, and have LESS pollution.”

Yup. Funny in a sick, twisted, we’re all going to die, sort of a way.

“Many wood products could use ALTERNATIVES..bamboo and Hemp based materials would work as well.”

I actually saw a bamboo bicycle ride by me today in the city.

“90% of the problems in the USA, is the COST of materials..”

I’m not sure about the percentages. But, those costs would change a lot in a deep economy without externalities. When it’s cheaper to have a plastic spoon manufactured in China and shipped to the U.S. to be used once and thrown out than it is to wash a metal spoon, something is seriously wrong.

“Everyone blames how CHEAP wages are in other countries.”

And imagine how much cheaper wages would be in the U.S. if we had medicare for all instead of requiring corporations to be in the social welfare business. That’s a backwards externality for our government. They should be at least paying the cost of health care if not actually providing it. Either way, corporations should not have to pay health insurance for their employees.

      I want my medicare!

    • P.S. I just saw this regarding bamboo homes.
